Wolf Ranch Town Center Adds New Exterior Mural

Wolf Ranch Town Center unveiled a new exterior mural near Starbucks, adding color, texture and vibrancy to the property for the community to enjoy. The mural, titled Dreaming of Papaver Rhoeas, is the vision of local artist Angela Effenberger. Dreaming of Papaver Rhoeas features red poppies and reflects the community connection between Wolf Ranch Town Center and Georgetown, the Red Poppy Capital of Texas since 1990. The mural will become a part of Georgetown’s annual Red Poppy Tour.

Wolf Ranch Town Center selected Angela Effenberger from a call to artists in partnership with the City of Georgetown’s Art and Culture Board. A native Texan and graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Effenberger began her decorative painting career two decades ago and still loves what she does. Through her business, Dragonfly Design Austin Painting, she creates murals and paints customized furniture for residences and businesses throughout Austin and the surrounding areas.  Nature scenes are her favorite to paint, especially on a large scale. Her passion is advocacy through art and has donated over two dozen murals to local non-profits including Caritas of Austin, The Austin Diaper Bank, The Salvation Army, Foster Village and more.  She resides in Cedar Park, Texas with her husband and two children.

“Local art make our community vibrant,” said Rhonda Pritchard, general manager at Wolf Ranch Town Center. “The use of subjects, color, texture and composition awaken a sense of curiosity and connection to the world around us. Wolf Ranch Town Center is excited to support our local arts culture through this project.”
